The Health Equity Minute: Join Us at the Lactation Summit
Human milk is a baby's first and healthiest food, yet not all babies have equitable access to lactation. Factors such as financial barriers, discrimination, and lack of support for working parents can make it difficult for some families to nurse or pump milk for their babies.
Organizational culture and physical environment can play a vital role in promoting equity in employee health. By creating a supportive and inclusive workplace that encourages healthy behaviors, organizations can help to level the playing field for all employees, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Join us on November 7th at Clyde Iron in Duluth from 9:00am - 3:30pm to explore how employers can attain Breastfeeding Friendly Designation through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and gain insights into fostering a breastfeeding-friendly workplace.
